Where to Begin
If you’ve spent years disconnected from yourself, reconnecting can feel surprisingly unfamiliar at first.
You may not know what you feel. You may not trust what you feel. You may not even realize how often you override yourself throughout the day.
That’s okay.
You do not have to do this perfectly. You do not need to transform your entire life overnight. You do not need to force yourself into some ideal version of healing.
You simply begin by noticing.
Maybe that looks like pausing for a moment and feeling your feet on the ground. Maybe it looks like placing a hand on your chest and taking a slower breath. Maybe it looks like asking yourself:
“What feels true for me right now?”
Not what you “should” feel.
Not what would make someone else happy.
Not what looks good from the outside.
Just: “What feels true?”
At first, the answers may feel quiet. Or confusing. Or inaccessible.
That does not mean you are failing.
Your body has likely spent years surviving through disconnection. Reconnection takes patience, safety, and practice.
The goal is not perfection. The goal is learning how to stay with yourself a little more each day.
And for now, that is enough.
